Loraline in her entirety

I actually made this piece as a celebration of pride, and have been waiting eagerly all year to be able to talk about it a little more in depth.

The rainbow wooden beads we used in this piece was actually a blessing from a lovely couple who used to make a lot of string bracelets using the wooden beads. When they heard that we were setting up My Neck Your Wrist, they gave us a whole box of these lovely wooden beads and told us to have fun with them~!

A close up on the simple and yet vibrant rainbow beads

It has been a pleasure working with the beads as they are so finely polished and the colours are so vibrant I am astonished that after so long, they are still in such good condition! This is the thing you can always trust with wooden jewellery – the quality gets better with time.

The large gold clasp that I found around chinatown when I was looking for precious agates

The piece is currently still available for sale on the website and I’m happy to say that this month there will be more pieces like this appearing as we have recently discovered new amazing gems and beads~! So we’re looking at working on more experimentation in the creative process and hopefully we may even video tape some of it!
